This notice explains how the Nexo Share website (nexoshare.nl) and the public demo (demo.nexoshare.nl) handle information. Nexo Share is an informational, source-available project. We do not sell hosting, subscriptions, or other commercial services on this site.

Marketing website (nexoshare.nl)

Server and security logs

Like most websites, our hosting and reverse-proxy stack may process technical data needed to deliver pages and keep the service secure — for example IP address, request time, URL, user agent, and similar connection metadata. This is processed on the basis of legitimate interest (security, reliability, abuse prevention) and retained only as long as needed for those purposes.

Cloudflare

Traffic may go through Cloudflare (CDN, DNS, and security). Cloudflare may process connection data and set cookies that are necessary for security and network performance. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Google Search Console

We use Google Search Console to understand how the site appears in Google Search. That is a webmaster tool on Google’s side; it does not place a tracking script on visitors’ browsers by itself.

Google Analytics (planned)

We may enable Google Analytics (basic traffic measurement) in the future. If we do, Analytics cookies / similar identifiers will only be used after we have a lawful basis under Dutch and EU rules (typically consent for non-essential analytics). This page will be updated when Analytics goes live, and a consent choice will be offered where required.

Cookies today

Apart from cookies that Cloudflare (or the browser) may set for essential security/delivery, the marketing site does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. When Google Analytics is added, non-essential cookies will be described here and controlled via a consent mechanism.

Public demo (demo.nexoshare.nl)

The demo is a temporary sandbox of the Nexo Share application. It is not for real or sensitive data.

Uploads: files you upload are stored briefly (on the order of a few minutes) and then deleted automatically.
Share metadata: names, descriptions, and similar fields you enter are also kept only for that short period and then removed.
Analytics: the demo does not run separate marketing analytics beyond what is needed to operate the demo itself (and any infrastructure logging / Cloudflare in front of it).

Do not upload personal data of others, confidential files, or anything you are not allowed to share. Demo content may be visible to other visitors while it exists and may be wiped without notice.

Self-hosted Nexo Share

If you run Nexo Share on your own infrastructure, you are the controller for that instance. This privacy notice does not apply to third-party self-hosted deployments.

Under the GDPR you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). To exercise rights related to this website or demo, email [email protected].
